1. Amber Grant
WomensNet founded the “Amber Grant” in 1998. The grant was set up with one goal in mind: to honor the memory of a very special young woman, Amber Wigdahl, who died at just 19 years old before realizing her business dreams.
Share your passion and dream for your business. When you apply on the website the application is easy and straightforward. There is a standard application fee of $15. Each month Amber Grant has two winners for $10,000 and two of 24 monthly winners are awarded $25,000 at the end of the year. However they give away over $30,000 every month. 2. Giving Joy Grant
Giving Joy is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit established in 2018. Its founder, Joy Kolin, has 20-years of experience in the field of international development, a career that has taken her to over 70 countries. Giving Joy has impacted many women in assisting them to make a positive change for their community providing resources and opportunities.
The application is detailed and straight forward.The current application date is for January 1- April 30, 2024 and awarded in August 2024. 3. Kitty Fund Grant
Kitty Fund is a nonprofit organization based in California. The award was created in honor of Mother’s Day and Founder’s First CEO Kim Folsom’s mother Catherine “Kitty” Abrams Tadlock Webster, who passed away in March 2020. In that same year the fund made its first investments of $13K in 50 Moms running small businesses nationwide. In 2021, the amount increased from $250 to $500 for the 50 recipients.

4. National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE)
The National Association for the Self-Employed Growth Grants supports men and women. The NASE was founded in 1981. There are 3 or 4 groups you can look at to see where you fit as a member.

5. SoGal Startup Grant
SoGal is a nonprofit created in 2015. They serve entrepreneurs from around the world,they have 50 plus chapters in 6 continents. The Black Founder Startup Grant ranges from $5,000-$10,000.

8. Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer Program (SBTTP)
Small Business Innovation Research ( SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer Program (SBTTP) are competitive programs that were established in 1982 by Congress. This is for men and women. Women make up between 7% and 22% of grantees, depending on the program. These two grants are to help small businesses and entrepreneurs connect with nonprofit research institutions and technology in meeting Federal research and development needs.
