As you embrace a new year, let your tomorrow be now. Procrastination is what will slow you down and at the end of the day, week, or month when you look back nothing is done. Procrastination is an enemy we have all fought (for some still fighting) at one point or another in life. For example, if you want to learn new or improve your skill set, change/add to your business, exercise, or try a new hair style, be proactive.
1. Write down what you want to accomplish that one, week or month
Before you start your day, start with the night before. Write out what you would like to accomplish the next day. Create a vision board, create a list and be okay with nothing happening overnight. The objective is to be consistent and determine in your actions. Cross off everything you did that day.
2. Stay Focus
Distractions are like the fly that is buzzing in your ear. The more you fan away the less you focus on the task at hand. If you are not someone who can multitask and/or is bad with time management, do one thing at a time. However, stay on the task and work in small steps to keep moving forward. Sometimes you are your biggest distraction. Today is always a great day to create better habits.
3. Let you tomorrow be now
I’ll do it late or tomorrow is always procrastinator kryptonite. Let your tomorrow be your today. Remember tomorrow is not promised to anyone and each day has its own trouble to face.Take a look at why tomorrow seem to be better than doing it now. If you are easily distracted-there are other approaches to look at. Create a schedule and do your best in following it.
4. Elevation
In all you are doing, stop and take a mental wellness elevation. Determine why you are using tomorrow or later as your reason for why you are or are not doing something. Is this something you want to do for you or are you allowing others to influence the direction you are striving to go in. Give yourself clarity for what you are doing.

Procrastination is the enemy that keeps you from seeing the possibilities of life. It is said you can’t control how or where you were born but you become accountable for the life you lived when you died-now there are case by case scenarios. Overall the best way to defeat your enemy is to prove them wrong not in words but by your actions.
