Time.....Reflections of Thanksgiving

November is here !! Seems like Spring was just breaking in from winter. This year is flying by. I would like these last weeks of this year to slow down a little. This just means I got to push forward and use the 24 hours God has given me wisely, strategically, manage my time better and always keep Him first in all things. This month has a lot of things packed into it that will take place. Have you ever asked yourself: Am I productive or just busy or doing both at the end of the day? For the two have two different meanings. Being productive leans towards results of progress. On the other hand, just busy working on things but the results are fuzzy,this or that,why not both. Doing both is what priority list you compose that day or week reflects what was needed to get done was accomplished. There are days when things happen and things do not work out as planned. Want to make God laugh…..tell Him you have a plan..laugh out laugh.
This month is also the celebration of Thanksgiving. There are so many things I have to thank God for. He has done and is doing some amazing things for me and my family. There is a song by Gospel Artist Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers “For Every Mountain”. There are trials we all face in life. For some it would not be hard to look back,you can look at today. For others it may have been yesterday, last week ,last month, or sporadic throughout the year. It does not have to be big,it could be small. What is important to you or seems big, someone else may see it as small in their eyes. They may not understand because everybody's mountains look different. Yet in all things give thanks, for it’s working for your good. I thank God for every mountain and blessings He has seen us through.
When I first got my hardcover copy of my book, I was so excited to hold my work in my hands. I thank God for the experience He has given me so far and what He is going to do. There were many errors made along the way. Hey, learning as you go betters you and strengthens you. So many questions ran through my mind. What author or in any profession when doing anything new or different doesn’t! Even when you have it well thought out, written down and executed. And still you stayed focused to accomplish the goals and glad you did it. Small steps lead to big outcomes. I I thank God for every little miracle along this journey.
As you sit with family and friends giving thanks for the food. Remember to give thanks for people He has placed in your life. Some may be grateful for the people He removed. Some are dearly missed-their laughter, hugs, stories, encouragement ,friendship and love,etc. Some may not have anyone to eat or share with-remember them too,for you could be the person who puts a smile on their face.
